Get ready for the best “summer of your life” with the prequel to the 2001 cult-classic “Wet Hot American Summer” coming to Netflix at the end of this month.
The trailer for Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp was released on Thursday and will follow the counselors and campers on their first day at Camp Firewood, versus the last day which was the synopsis for the original film. This time around Wet Hot Summer will be broken down in an eight part limited series poking fun at summer camp and 1980’s teenager movies filled raging hormones, obscenities, and off the wall humor.
The limited series reprises the original all-star cast like: Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter, and includes newcomers: Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, John Slattery, and more!
GGB got the chance to speak with Hailey Sole, who plays ones of the campers on the series, about Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp and you can check out her interview HERE.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp comes to Netflix for a limited 8-episode series on July 31. Watch the raunchy trailer below and share your thoughts in the comments.
