‘Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll’ Cast Gives ‘Liner Notes’ In New Sneak Peek [VIDEO]

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll is giving rock fans a look into the crazy music genre with the new FX series premiering in July. As the premiere dates gets closer, eager fans get to see more behind the scenes looks at the show.

“I had this idea. It was the story of a rock & roll band which is really a dysfunctional family. A band that really wasn’t as successful as they could have been,” Denis Leary, star and executive producer of the show, said at the start of the clip.

Leary makes his return to FX as Johnny Rock, the washed up musician who gets a second chance at fame when his estranged daughter Gigi (Liz Gillies) shows up and offers him and his former band mates money to reunite but with her as the lead singer this time.

“Why does a guy who doesn’t make it in that atmosphere, how does that happen, why does that happen? There’s all these different reasons but a lot of them had to do with self-destructive behavior which in rock & roll is celebrated.”

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll premieres Thursday, July 16 at 10pm on FX.
