Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll is less than a month away from its premiere date but before we get into the new chapter of The Heathens, we have to relive the high.

Depicted just like a VH1 True Hollywood Story, the SDRR Rockumentary depicts the rise and fall of the fictional 90’s New York band called The Heathens led by Johnny Rock (Denis Leary). The rockumentary features interviews from Rock himself, along with lead guitarist Flash (John Corbett), Greg Dulli of The Afghan Whigs, back up singers Ava (Elaine Hendrix) and Micki, bass guitarist Rehab (John Ales), and drummer Bam Bam (Robert Kelly), as they retell the great times of the band.

The comedy series picks up with the band getting back together when a talented young singer named Gigi (Elizabeth Gillies) “shows up – with a burning desire to be famous, a throwback appreciation for The Heathens’ only album, and a stack of cash big enough to bring the whole band back into the studio.” Gigi has heart set on being the lead singer of the revamped band. This just might be the break the band needs.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll premieres Thursday July 16th at 10pm on FX.
