Zoe Saldana Talks Her Twins, Her Husband Taking Her Last Name And More On ‘JKL’ [VIDEOS]

Zoe Saldana stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday’s night show and talked raising her twin boys, the story of her husband taking Saldana as his last name, and more during her visit.

Saldana and her husband Marco Perego, who tied the knot in 2013, welcomed their twin sons six and half months ago so talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who also has an infant at home, inquired about what it was like to have two small babies at once. “It’s great, it’s a blessing, ’cause people keep telling us,” Saldana said with a laugh.

“No, we’re very, very happy. It’s just like whatever you do, if you change a diaper and you put one down, you have to do it all over again, and that’s when they’re having, when they’re in a good mood, but if they’re having like a little tantrum, it’s at the same time, and then you put one to sleep, cause we’re sleep training right now, ’cause sleep training twins is no joke.”

The 36-year-old “Infinitely Polar Bear” actress went on to explain how she’s sleep training her twins.

Later, Saldana talked about the headline story of her husband taking her last name.”He took your last name, did you make him do that?,” Kimmel asked in which Saldana replied, “No, oh my god, why does it mean like a woman has to like hold a gun like ‘You’re going to be Saldana,'” she jokingly said. “I took his, but why doesn’t that make it in the news,” she added, further explaining that she and husband both have hyphened names with her maiden name with his last and vice versa for him. Saldana and Perego’s twins however are Bowie and Cy Perego-Saldana.

Kimmel and Saldana ended the chat with talk of Saldana’s movie “Infinitely Polar Bear,” in theaters June 19.
