Miley Cyrus covers the summer 2015 “use your voice” issue of Paper magazine nude cradling a pig. While this cover didn’t “break the internet,” it still caused a stir for the 22-year-old.
The Happy Hippie Foundation (a nonprofit launched earlier this year to help homeless and LGBT kids) founder tells Paper, “I was doing a show two nights ago and I was wearing butterfly nipple pasties and butterfly wings. I’m standing there with my tits out, dressed like a butterfly. How the fuck is that fair? How am I so lucky.”
Photographed by Paola Kudack and under the creative direction of her “We Can’t Stop” music video director Diane Martel, Cyrus poses alongside her pet pig Bubba Sue and talks what made her want to start Happy Hippie among other things inside the issue.
Elsewhere in the mag, Al Gore speak on Live Earth 2015, while Pharrell Williams talks about the universal success of his song “Happy.” In what is described as Paper’s “biggest summer music issue ever,” Charli XCX, Troye Sivan and Cody Simpson are profiled along with “nine living legends” being celebrated i.e, Quincy Jones , Joan Jett, and Dolly Parton.
The summer 2015 issue of Paper will be on newsstands June 22. Be sure to pick up your copy.
