Sanaa Lathan Could Be Wrong About Mr. Right In The Intense Trailer For ‘The Perfect Guy’

Sanaa Lathan looks for love and finds it in a handsome man that’s more than meets the eye in the upcoming thriller “The Perfect Guy,” out in theaters this fall.

Lathan’s character Leah is coming off a rough break up with a character played by Morris Chestnut and is in need to jump back into the dating pool. She stumbles upon a charming man, played by Michael Ealy (Carter), and they began a highly sexual, intense love affair until Ealy’s character makes a psychotic switch making Lathan’s character fearful for her life.

The first trailer for the film showcases how creepy things can get when your ex-boyfriend doesn’t want to move on. Think “Fatal Attraction” meets “Play Misty For Me” the male version. Ealy tells USA Today, “If anything it provokes a fear in the audience. It’s like, is he going to kill her right now?  That’s why it’s such an interesting thriller. Who is going to go home after the movie and not check under the bed after that scene? Just in case. Everyone checks under the bed.”

I admit the trailer looks like it has some twists and turns but it leaves nothing to the imagination and seems pretty predictable.

“The Perfect Guy” premieres September 11, 2015.
