Lifetime’s Full House TV movie revealed its first look at the unauthorized film with a cast photo of the main characters made famous by Bob Saget, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, John Stamos and more.
The first look at the TV movie shows a cast photo of the actors and actresses that play the lead roles. Justin Gaston landed the role of Uncle Jesse (Stamos) which was a character that faced a challenge to find according to A+E Networks’ vice president Lisa Hamilton-Daly. “Finding someone as good-looking as John Stamos to play John Stamos was a challenge. [Gaston] looks a lot like John and has his same charm and warmth,” Hamilton-Daly told People.
The roles of the daughters of Danny Tanner: DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle, went to multiple actresses to show the progression of age in the movie. Mary-Kate and Ashley’s (Michelle) characters are played by Blaise and Kinslea Todd as toddlers, Calla and Tyla Jones at age six, and Kylie and Jordan Armstrong play the girls at nine. Shelby Armstrong and Brittney Wilson play Candace Cameron Bure(DJ) at different ages, with Dakota Guppy and Jordyn Olson playing Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) and Aislyn Watson and Jaime Schneider as Andrea Barber (Kimmy).
Garrett Brawith will play patriarch Bob Saget, Justin Mader as Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey), and Stephanie Bennett as Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky). The authorized movie will show how the cast “ended up being a family” during the eight year run on ABC and will air August 22 on Lifetime.
Rob McGee, the same guy who penned the Saved By the Bell Lifetime TV movie, has returned to write Full House depiction. The Lifetime movie comes in sync with the announcement of a spin-off series Fuller House, that will run on Netflik and bring back all of the original cast members minus the Olsen Twins.
