Chrissy Teigen is no stranger to receiving negative comments on social media and she’s no stranger to being the clap back queen and letting the haters know exactly how she feels. So when a moment happened on Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards concerning Teigen went viral, it was only a matter of time until she caught wind of it and voiced her opinion.
Teigen served as co-host for the 2015 Billboard Music Awards alongside Ludacris at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and kicked off the show in a way they didn’t expect. During the opening as Teigen and Ludacris walked to the stage, a woman tripped over the train of Teigen’s red dress when she crossed behind her. Why did she decide to move at that moment who knows. It sure did make for a funny Vine video but received negative commentary towards the 29-year-old model. [SEE VIDEO BELOW]
Social Media explored with conversations about how Chrissy Teigen did nothing to help the woman or check to see if she was alright, but what people do not understand is that in showbiz the show must go on, and that’s what happened. Later, Teigen took it upon herself to address the subject on Twitter.
Before getting into her brief rant Teigen posted “i have dubbed today “do not read the comments” day — although I should dub every day this day,” already expecting negative comments about her hosting duties at the 2015 BBMAs. She then went on to tweet about the incident in a stream of Twitter posts. She first posted, “for the record i couldn’t even see the woman falling behind me — she stepped on my dress and i was trying not to eat shit,” followed by, “everyone is saying i am some sort of monster for not stopping and giving her CPR or something — she is fine, was not a big deal,” lastly adding, “she should be out of the hospital by christmas.”
