The more I see, the more I want it to be the fall television season tomorrow just so I can get into FOX’s new and upcoming anthology series Scream Queens starring Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis.
The show created by the American Horror Story trinity Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan, is being described as a “Mean Girls”/”Heathers”mix combined with “Friday the 13th” and after the Upfront presentation that took place on Monday in New York City more information was released about the show.
Wallace University is the college we will all join come fall as Kappa House, the most sought-after sorority for pledges, is turned upside down by Dean Munsch (Curtis) when she decrees the sorority must be open to all students and not the “school’s silver-spooned elite.” This does not make “Queen Bitch” Chanel Oberlin (Roberts) happy at all. The sugar honey iced tea really hits the fan when “a devil-clad killer begins wreaking havoc, claiming one victim, one episode at a time.”
Emma Roberts stars as Chanel Oberlin with Jamie Lee Curtis as Dean Munsch. Other notable stars include: Lea Michele as Hester, Abigail Breslin as Chanel #5, Nasim Pedrad as Gigi, Oliver Hudson as Wes, Skyler Samuels as Grace, Keke Palmer as Zayday, Billie Lourd as Chanel #3, Diego Boneta as Pete, Glen Powell as Chad, Lucien Laviscount as Earl, Niecy Nash as Denise, Nick Jonas as Boone, and Ariana Grande as Chanel #2. It’s said that Ryan Murphy wanted to work with Ariana Grande so much that he was willing to work around her touring schedule, and clearly that ponytail as well.
Scream Queens will premiere in September and air Tuesdays, to not interfere with American Horror Story of course.
