It’s that time of year again for fashion’s biggest night; the 2015 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala, aka the Met Gala, took place Monday, May 4 in New York City, with this year’s theme as “China: Through the Looking Glass.”

If you didn’t know, the annual fundraising event was started by fashion icon Anna Wintour to gain funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art costume institute. The huge kick off event happens every May with a major celebrity bash and preview. The “China: Through the Looking Glass” exhibit runs May 7 – August 16, 2015.

Of course Beyoncé was one of the talks of the night, arriving at the very last-minute to the red carpet channeling I Dream of Jeannie in a Givenchy colored crystal covered gown. Another big red carpet moment was when “Twilight” actor Robert Pattinson showed up on the carpet with his rumored fiancée, singer FKA Twigs (Tahliah Barnett), making this their first public, red carpet appearance as a couple.

There were many people who got the theme of the event perfectly and translated it well for the carpet, i.e Sarah Jessica Parker, Zendaya, Katy Perry, and hell even Justin Bieber. Inside the Gala, Rihanna switched up her over the top yellow gown for a more “traditional” look to channel the Chinese culture as she performed for guests.

The guest lists including the who’s who in Hollywood, music, and fashion such as: Kate Hudson, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, Reese Witherspoon, Sogia Vergara, Common, Jennifer Lopez, Ivanka Trump, Kerry Washington, Diane von Furstenberg, Zac Posen, and so many more!

Check out some of the red carpet arrivals and snapshots from inside the 2015 Met Gala below. Share your thoughts in the comments.
