Jamie Dornan is back as Christian Grey, the billionaire with the red room of pain, for the sequel to the controversial, yet blockbuster film “Fifty Shades of Grey,” but we won’t be seeing him again for quite some time.

In the first look at “Fifty Shades Darker,” Dornan as Christian Grey is dressed in a suit, typical, but this time placing a black mask on his face, presumably for a masquerade party of sorts. The teaser photo came out Friday on the official Facebook page for the film in promotion for the May release of the DVD for the first “Fifty Shades” film.

“Fifty Shades Darker” is slated to debut in theaters February 10, 2017, le sigh, with “Fifty Shades Freed,” the final book and film of the series, slated to come out a year later, in February; Universal Pictures confirms. Niall Leonard, husband to the author of the erotic novel trilogy series E.L. James, is reported to be working on the screenplay for the follow-up film. Sam Taylor-Johnson, who directed “Fifty Shades of Grey” will not be returning to work on “Fifty Shades Darker,” so the hunt is on for who will take on that director role.

According to IMDb, Dakota Johnson will reprise her role as Anastasia Steele, along with Rita Ora and Luke Grimes returning as Christian’s siblings Mia and Elliot Grey. Victor Rasuk is also slated to return as José. Currently, no further stars have been confirmed to return or join the cast.
