Following the flop of M. Night Shyamalan‘s “After Earth,” the mastermind of suspense/horror is coming back with a new film to make us look at those elderly folks in our lives in a different way.
In M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Visit” a single mother (Kathryn Hahn) sends her two children to their grandparents remote Pennsylvania farm-house for a week-long stay as she go away to work. Things seems to be great in the beginning because there are 3 simple rules at Grandma’s house. 1. Have a great time, yay-yuh, 2. Eat as much as you want, score, and 3. Don’t ever leave your room after 9:30pm, wait what?!
Peter McRobbie and Deanna Dunagan are the grandparents from hell who act pretty strange on the farm once 9:30pm comes around. With the producer behind “Paranormal Activity,” “The Purge” and “Insidious” series, Jason Blum, you know this is going to be a creepy one.
Olivia DeJonge and Ed Oxenbould also star in “The Visit,” out in theaters September 11, 2105.
