Michael Keaton returned to Saturday Night Live as a third time host for this weekend’s broadcast and channeled two of his most infamous roles to date.
In the opening monologue, Keaton began to explain that the first time he hosted was back in 1982 and that a lot has changed since then. He had a baby, who is now 31, and he joked about having a new girlfriend who is younger than his son.
SNL cast members Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan then interrupted Keaton and tried to get him to play “Batman” and “Beetlejuice” with them, two iconic characters that he is known for, in awesome songs explaining their love for the films.
After Keaton initially refused, Killam and Moynihan played a clip where they were dressed as The Joker and The Penguin from “Batman” along with Delia and Otho from “Beetlejuice,” looking just like them I add, with an unbeknownst Keaton being added in. Later after song convincing, Michael Keaton uttered “I’m Batman” before announcing “It’s Showtime.” Feel free to geek out.
Watch Michael Keaton channel Batman And Beetlejuice in his SNL monologue below. Would you rather play Batman or Beetlejuice? Let me know in the comments?
