First Look: ‘Tut’ Actor Avan Jogia Teases Summer Series On Instagram [VIDEO]

Spike TV is bringing its first scripted series in eight years to the channel this summer in the form of a special mini-series event called Tut.

Avan Jogia (Twisted, Victorious) and Academy Award winning actor Ben Kingsley (“Schindler’s List”) star in the series that will tell the story of one of the most infamous leaders of all time, Pharaoh Tutankhamun.

The 23-year-old actor, who plays the lead character King Tut, shared a first look of the show on Instagram Sunday night. He captioned a video, “Fate is not what you are given, it is what you take.#TUT @spiketv.” [SEE BELOW]

Tut is described as an “ambitious special-event series” that will tell “the story of Tut’s rise to power and his struggle to lead Egypt to glory, while his closest advisors, friends and lovers scheme for their own nefarious interests.” Tut is slated to premiere this Summer.
