Will Smith stopped by The Ellen Show to promote his film “Focus” but couldn’t resist channeling his 1990’s hit series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
During a commercial break, as Ellen DeGeneres gazed on, Smith got the audience to their feet as he rapped the ever quotable Fresh Prince theme song, but things took a turn for the awkward worst.
We all know “In West Philadelphia, born and raised on the playground was where I spent most of my days. Chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool, and all shootin’ some b-ball outside of the school. When a couple of guys who were up to no good, started making trouble in my neighborhood. I got in one little fight and my mom got scared, she said ‘You’re movin’ with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air.”
After that things get foggy, or jumbled, and that’s exactly what happened on the show. There was an awkward silence and an even more awkward dance from Will Smith. It just got weird but A for effort.
“Focus” starring Will Smith and Margot Robbie appears in theaters this weekend.
