TV Time: John Travolta Explains Idina Menzel Name Flub On Jimmy Kimmel Live [VIDEO]

Following the 2015 Oscars on ABC Sunday night, Jimmy Kimmel had a special Jimmy Kimmel Live Oscars edition show that featured special guests like John Travolta, J.K. Simmons, Kevin Hart and many more!

During a sit down with Kimmel, John Travolta took the time to explain his infamous name flub of “Frozen” actress Idina Menzel. We all remember last Oscars when Travolta introduced Menzel as Adele Dazim leading to a year-long joke that never will die down I think. The two have since laughed about the moment at this year’s Oscars but it was an interesting reason why that happened in the first name. One name: Goldie Hawn.

Travolta explained to Kimmel that he ran into Hawn backstage and was distracted and star-struck by the actress. After being rushed on stage he realized he was given the phonetic spelling of Menzel’s name and that lead to pop culture history.
