After suffering a serious head injury from a car accident last week, Ben Woolf has died. He was 34.

The 4’4″ actor, who had pituitary dwarfism, was hit by a SUV’s mirror as he was jaywalking last Thursday in Hollywood. Since no crime was committed, the driver was not held responsible for the accident, and reportedly remained at the scene until help arrived.

Following the accident, Woolf was hospitalized in intensive care. He then went into stable condition on Friday, but had not woken up and was heavily sedated. On Monday, he died of a stroke at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

In a statement, Woolf’s family said, “We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all over the world for our beloved Ben. He touched so many hearts in his 34 years. His memory will live on within each of us and within his work.”

Woolf recently played Meep on American Horror Story: Freak Show and has even been with the series since the beginning. He played Infantata on season 1 of AHS.

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy shared his condolences on Twitter posting “RIP Ben Woolf. One of the most inspirational people I’ve ever met,” along with a link to Woolf’s “American Horror Story: Freak Show – Extra-Ordinary Artists” interview.

RIP Ben Woolf. Condolences to your loved ones.
