Kendall Jenner Covers March Allure + Talks Growing Up In The Spotlight And More

Kendall Jenner gives her best model face and covers the March 2015 issue of Allure magazine. Inside the issue, Jenner wears an assortment of sexy bathing suits paired with Marcel the monkey, yeah that Marcel, and talks growing up in the spotlight, her famous family and more!

“I had just started ninth grade when I got my acne,” the 19-year-old recalls about going through puberty. “And I had braces. I wouldn’t look people in the eye. It was not a good time for me—it just killed my self-esteem. I thought when I didn’t look at someone, they couldn’t see my face.”

The young model who has been heating up runways all over the world still gets shy unless it comes to work. “I still have a hard time looking at someone when I’m talking to them, and I get nervous,” she said, adding, “When I started getting in front of the camera a lot, I think my confidence started to come out. It took a minute, because I had to believe in myself.”

As Jenner was prepping for her first Marc Jacobs runway appearance for fall 2014 she remembers not wanting her family support. “I didn’t need it to be a family affair, as selfish as this sounds, I wanted the attention to be on me for five seconds rather than my family. If they were sitting front row, it would have been all about, ‘Oh, Kim goes to Kendall’s first fashion show!'” She concluded, “I love Kim, but for a minute I wanted it to be like, ‘OK, this is [Kendall’s] thing—she’s taking it seriously.'”

I mean come on, Kendall Jenner looks BEAUTIFUL on the cover of Allure and throughout her spread. She has a bright career in front of her.
