Big Sean Shows Us The Meaning of Patience In The Process of Making ‘Dark Sky Paradise’ [VIDEO]

Big Sean‘s third studio album Dark Sky Paradise is upon us and the 26-year-old has been doing heavy promotion for the album, especially with social media, i.e his website uknowbigsean.com.

On Instagram, the “I Don’t F**k With You” rapper “invites” us into his process of making his album and how he learned to value patience with a “special video” he shared on YouTube. [SEE BELOW]

In the video we see: behind the scenes looks at the making of Dark Sky Paradise, Big Sean attending the Detroit Thanksgiving Day parade, performances, time spent with fans and more while the rapper gives a three-minute plus monologue about the importance of patience, the title of the video.

Kim Kardashian West, Kanye West, Ariana Grande, John Legend, Rihanna, Common, Jhene Aiko and more can be seen in the video.

Once you get past the monotone sound of his voice, you really can get gems from this video. One of the lines that stood out for me was when Big Sean said, “I realize you have to recognize your own process and it can’t be measured by anything but happiness.”

As someone who is chasing their dreams, this video resonated with me on so many levels. I’ve too learned that patience is a huge factor on the journey to “success.” From one artist to another, Sean I feel you on this video.

Big Sean ended the video saying, “To make it to the top of your game it takes patience.” Dark Sky Paradise will be available to buy and for download February, 24, 2015.
