For those of you who only tune into the Super Bowl for the Halftime Show and commercials like me, I’m sure you caught Katy Perry performing during Super Bowl XLIX, but if you didn’t, don’t worry GGB has got you covered!
“Frozen” actress Idina Menzel belted out the National Anthem, “Star Spangled Banner,” while Golden Globe winner John Legend sung “American the Beautiful” before all the Halftime Show festivities.
Katy Perry opened her show at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona riding in on a gigantic, mechanical tiger? I think it was a tiger, maybe a lion. She performed “Roar” in a leather flamed outfit designed by Jeremy Scott. [SEE BELOW]
Things got graphical amazing as Perry performed “Dark Horse” on a huge screen that displayed a moving checkered design. Her show got colorful with social media comparing it to Yo Gabba Gabba as she performed “Teenage Dream” and “California Gurls.”
Lenny Kravitz later joined Perry on stage to perform an epic, rock edition of her first single ‘I Kissed A Girl” but the moment that stole the show was Missy Elliot taking the football field to rap her hits “Get Ur Freak On,” “Work It” and “Lose Control.”
Katy Perry closed the Halftime Show performing yet another hit, “Firework,” in custom Moschino. [SEE BELOW]
