Shia LaBeouf and Maddie Ziegler Star in Sia’s ‘Elastic Heart’ Video + Singer Responds To Pedophilia Criticism

Shia LaBeouf and Maddie Ziegler star in the new, controversial music video for Sia‘s “Elastic Heart.”

In the video, the 12-year-old Dance Moms dancer and the “Fury” actor are covered in dirt and dance around in a huge cage dressed in flesh-colored attire.

As with anything, there was positive but more negative comments about the video. Many thought it channeled a pedophilia vibe and took to social media to blast Sia‘s “Elastic Heart.”

Following backlash from the music video, the “Chandelier” singer tweeted, “I anticipated some ‘pedophelia!!!’ Cries for this video. All I can say is Maddie and Shia are two of the only actors I felt could play.”

She added, “I apologize to those who feel triggered by #ElasticHeart My intention was to create some emotional content, not to upset anybody.” [SEE BELOW]

I personally loved the video. I wasn’t really feeling the song but I love Shia and Maddie is such a phenomenal dancer that those were the only things in my mind. I felt it was a performance piece that you would see in an art gallery or something, nothing more.
