Lil Wayne Goes On Twitter Rant – Blames Cash Money Records For Album Delay

Lil Wayne is very bothered by the fact that is latest album, Tha Carter V, is getting pushed back again and blames his record label Cash Money Records. He shared his thoughts about the situation on Twitter.

On Thursday, Lil Wayne took to Twitter in a stream of posts to his fans to explain why they have not heard any new music from the “How To Love” rapper. He tweeted, “To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won’t and hasn’t been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it.”

He continued with, “This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation.”

Lil Wayne added, “I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain’t that easy.” He concluded the rant with, “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity Again,I am truly sorry and I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u.” [SEE BELOW]

Cash Money Records was founded in 1991 by Birdman aka Baby, real name Bryan Williams, along with his brother Ronald “Slim” Williams. Lil Wayne has been an artist with the label since 1995. I wonder when things went sour with this partnership?
