Now this is a story that I’ve already had my eye on.
Cincinnati Bengal Devon Still is dealing with probably any father’s, any parent’s worst nightmare. His young daughter Leah is battling neuroblastoma cancer and through their family’s fight an out pour of financial and moral support has swept the nation and NFL to help Leah and other children and families battling cancer.
Ellen DeGeneres caught up with Still via satellite and talked to him about the bond he has with his daughter, how Leah is handling cancer and more. DeGeneres then surprised Still with a donation of $10,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and announced she will auction off a celebrity signature-covered Bengals #75 jersey, Still’s number, with the proceeds going to cancer research and facilities.
This has been a story that I’ve kept up with since I know and went to college with the brother of Devon. It breaks my heart to see Devon and Leah go through this but warms it at the same time to see the love this father and daughter have and how strong a little girl fighting for her life can be. Just check out Devon Still’s Instagram and you’ll see what I mean and also #PRAYFORLEAH.
