First Look: Lifetime’s ‘Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B’ Movie Teaser Trailer [VIDEO]

Lifetime’s “Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B” will appear on our television screens sooner than we thought; in fact in less than two months.

The biopic film, that will showcase the life of the late 1990’s and early 2000’s singer Aaliyah who died in a plane crash in 2001, will star Alexandra Shipp as the “One In A Million” singer.

A first teaser trailer for “Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B” showcases Shipp in character as Aaliyah wearing baggy clothing and straight hair with a side swoop covering one eye; the iconic look the singer was known for.

“Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B” premieres on Lifetime Saturday, November 15, 2014.
