Although I aspire to be an on-air news talent, entertainment news that is, I can respect a woman, or anyone for that matter, when they decide that being a news talent is not for them anymore and goes out with guns blazing. KTVA News Reporter Charlo Greene did exactly that and became my hero.

In the midst of reporting on a story about the Alaska Cannabis Club and its goal to legalizing medical marijuana in the state’s upcoming election, Greene confessed to being the owner of the club and proceeded to make pop culture and TV news history.

Greene stated, “Now everything you heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska.”

She ended with, “And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f–k it, I quit” and walked off camera.

A baffled news anchor apologized for the incident and tried to move on. Later the station offered up a statement on Twitter. KTVA 11 News tweeted, “We sincerely apologize for the inappropriate language used by a KTVA reporter during her live presentation on the air tonight. The employee has been terminated.” Excuse my language but, no sh*t Sherlock. The girl said SHE QUIT and now she’s the poster child for all workers wishing they had the courage to tell their boss the same thing.

Watch how and why KTVA News Reporter Charlo Greene quit her job live on-air below and let me know what you think in the comments.
