Beyoncé covers Issue 5 of CR Fashion Book and talks daughter Blue Ivy being her biggest muse, prayer and how her music affects people.
Under the creative direction of the famed Riccardo Tisci, Bey gives an eye catching spread filled with extra long hair extensions, a Chanel surfboard, feline ears, the impression of a religious image and more!
The fashion mag deems Beyoncé “the light” with the 32-year-old singer and mother saying, “It’s my daughter, she’s my biggest muse. There’s someone, we all find out soon, more important than ourselves to lose.”
Bey also discussed discovering prayer at a young age. “I saw a TV preacher when I was scared, at four or five, about bad dreams, who promised he’d say a prayer if I put my hand to the TV,” she said. She continued, “That’s the first time I remember prayer, an electric current humming through me.”
The “XO” singer later talked about the power of her music. “You call me a singe, but I’m called to transform, to suck up the grief, anxiety, and loss of those who hear me into my song’s form. I’m a vessel for all that isn’t right, for break-ups and lies and double-cross. I sing into that vessel a healing light.”
