Last time Beyoncé was at the MTV Video Music Awards I cried when she performed “Love On Top” and announced her pregnancy, and I’m not ashamed. This time was like no other and my tears flowed freely during this appearance.

Beyoncé was honored with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award and performed basically all the songs off her self-titled album, but that’s not what brought the tears.

You could tell Bey was feeling all types of emotions up there, especially at the end, or maybe it’s our Virgo vibes syncing, but when she started singing “Blue” my heart-strings were so tightly pulled that I had to just cry. And when Jay Z presented his wife with the award with their daughter Blue Ivy and she yelled, “yay mommy” and Bey teared up, damn, I was done. Such a beautiful moment and I’m not even a huge Beyoncé fan where her word is bond but it was just perfect.

Get into Beyoncé‘s full VMA Vanguard performance below and all the adorable moments that followed.
