American Horror Story is going dark and heading to the Freak Show and they are taking a huge R & B icon with them.
Patti LaBelle has been announced to appear in a 4 episode stint on AHS; series creator, writer and producer Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
LaBelle is slated to play a local townie and the mother of Gabourey Sidibe‘s character. LaBelle’s character “unravel secrets” of Twisty the clown killer. Sidenote: Can we talk about how clowns scare me. Can you say nightmares?
As noted in previous posts: Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts and Michael Chiklis, will all appear in season 4 in some way. Also if you look on the IMDb page for the show, you see past AHS cast members Naomi Grossman and Jamie Brewer will be appearing as well.
Masters of Sex’s Finn Wittrock, “The Hunger Games'” Wes Bentley, and The Americans’ John Carroll Lynch will also be joining the 4th season of AHS.
American Horror Story: Freak Show premieres October 8 on FX.
