The “On The Run” tour came to my hometown of Philadelphia this past Saturday and I admit I was a little sad that I couldn’t afford to go, but do you know what I can afford, HBO! And that’s exactly where I can see the “On The Run” tour in September.

Beyoncé and Jay Z will be coming to a small screen near you after the completion of their current joint tour. The music couple will be doing two recorded shows in Paris on September 12 and 13 that will later appear on HBO as a special titled – “On The Run Tour: Jay Z and Beyoncé.” The special is set to display the entire show including 40 plus solo and joint numbers.

Michael Lombardo, HBO’s President of Programming, said in a press release, “This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO. It’s going to be a night to remember.” [Read the official press release HERE.]

The Carters have quite the history with HBO. In 2013, Beyoncé’s feature-length documentary “Life Is But a Dream” debuted along with Jay Z’s “Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film” premiering later in August. Currently HBO is showing “BEYONCÉ: X10,” a ten-episode series of performances from Bey’s “The Mrs. Carter Show” tour. Those videos debut Sunday Nights right before True Blood at 9pm EST.

What do you think about the news that Beyoncé and Jay Z’s “On The Run” tour is coming to cable television.
