For the first time, Oscar award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o is gracing the cover of Vogue magazine and looking beyond stunning on her cover and in her spread.
Inside the July 2014 issue of Vogue, the Kenyan-born “12 Years A Slave” beauty talks how her life has changed on her rise to fame.
“It just feels like the entertainment industry exploded into my life,” Nyong’o said. “People who seemed so distant all of a sudden were right in front of me and recognizing me — before I recognized them!”
Nyong’o also recalls her first run in with the paparazzi. She said, “For a split second I looked behind me to see who they were flashing at — and it was me! That was, I think, the beginning of the end of my anonymity.”
Lupita Nyong’o also discussed landing her Lancôme deal, her first red carpet season and more.
