After a season of less than desired ratings, The Arsenio Hall Show got canned.

CBS Television Distribution announced the surprising news on Friday; this news left people scratching theirs heads since it was announced that Arsenio Hall would be back to his show for season two back in February.

In a statement the company said, “Unfortunately, The Arsenio Hall Show will not return for a second season; while there are many loyal fans of the show, the series did not grow its audience enough to continue.”

The statement continued, “Arsenio is a tremendous talent and we’d like to thank him for all the hard work and energy he put into the show.”

In an official statement, Hall shared some words saying, “I’m gratified for the year we’ve had and proud of the show we created. I’d like to thank everyone on my staff for rallying around me and striving to make the best show possible every night.”

This was just not a good week for Arsenio Hall. He later took to Twitter to share his true feelings about his show getting cancelled. He tweeted, “:-( I lost my job … AND The Clippers, in a 48 hour period! #badweek … Love y’all…” [See below]

The Arsenio Hall Show was Hall’s return to television after 19 years. His original late night talk show ended in 1994.
