OK you guys, after a crazy hectic weekend I was finally able to see a movie that I was anticipating, “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” and I couldn’t wait to post A Glamberous Review of the film after seeing it.

I want to start this review by saying the trailer and clips just does not do any justice to how amazing this film truly is. If you are a fan of the “X-Men” film franchise, like myself, you would be tuned all in to this from the second it starts.

The plot follows Logan aka Wolverine (Hugh Jackson) as he travels back in time with the help of a special power from Kitty (Ellen Page) to get a younger Professor X and Magneto (James Mcavoy and Michael Fassbender) together to help find Raven aka Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) in order to prevent her from killing someone that would drastically create the future into a hazardous, apocalyptic environment.

Now that you have a good idea about what the premise is about let’s get into the details without giving away any spoilers. The films opens with big action, a big fight sequence and mutants doing what they do best, kick ass with their special powers. The film combines past and present mutants. By past I mean mutants from the previous films like Storm (Halle Berry), Iceman (Shawn Ashmore), Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and Magento (Ian McKellen). And by present I mean all the newbies from “First Class” like Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Havok (Lucas Till).

The action in this film comes thanks to all the powers of the mutants which will blow your mind! You have a mutant that can transport you to different places in the same area in the matter of seconds, a mutant that can manipulate fire, one that has this electrifying thing going on and so much more. I live for stuff like this. I was super excited while watching this film.

The acting portrayed in the film was stellar. I mean we do have Oscar-winning and nominated actresses and actors in this film so how could you not expect outstanding performances. I was particularly impressed with Jennifer Lawrence. Her character had a bigger and more important role this time around versus “First Class” and she held the film together.

If I had to pick a favorite part of the film it would without a doubt be the parts with Quicksilver (Evan Peters). Evan Peter‘s character has the ability to move super fast, like crazy fast so visually all his parts were flawlessly executed. I feel Quicksilver provided the movie with the most comedic relief because 1. Evan Peters is adorable with that little grin of his, 2. Quicksilver came into the series as new character and gave funny tidbits about getting to know a few of the others, and 3. Quicksilver was excited to help the X-Men out and that made for great moments.

All X-Men fans will really, really love the ending. I don’t want to give it away but I almost shed a thug tear. It was a great way to end the film and kind of sets up a premise for the next film in the franchise, which is set to be “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

The only thing, and I mean the only thing, I can say bad about “X-Men: Days of Future Past” is that the plot was kind of confusing for me. I was trying to understand where in line with the other films would this fall in? Would it be a “prequel, sequel” to “X-Men: First Class”? Like would this be pre “Last Stand”? I’m not sure, but that’s the only thing I didn’t like, is trying to figure out where this film fit in the series. But I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to see it again.

I give “X-Men: Days of Future Past” Five Glamberous Sparkles
