Amanda Seyfried is the June cover girl for Elle UK and is talking relationships, dealing with anxiety and body image in Hollywood.
“I would be lying if I said I wasn’t constantly aware of what I’m doing with my body,” the 28-year-old tells Elle UK. “I don’t have to look like a supermodel. I don’t have to have those abs – the camera doesn’t see that.”
She continues, “But because we have all been designed to want these things, I’m a victim of this stuff, too.” Seyfried however praises one blonde bombshell in Hollywood for her appearance. “Thank God for Kate Upton. She’s a supermodel, she has curves. She’s like the new image of beauty and thank God.”
Amanda Seyfried also opens up about her struggles with anxiety growing up. “I feel terrible for the younger me, because I thought I was crazy,” she says. “I had my anxiety and my OCD – a lot of kids have it. You’re afraid of it; you’re afraid of your brain. I didn’t tell people… My parents didn’t even know.”
Seyfried openly admits to taking anti-anxiety medication to deal with her issues.
The “Les Misérables” actress then discussed her relationship with ex-boyfriend and “Mamma Mia” co-star Dominic Cooper. “It was the most romantic thing ever,” she said about falling in love with Cooper. “We had such an amazing experience, so special and separate from everything else that we’d experienced in life… a moment to remember.”
