Alright, readers of GGB KNOW I love me some “Rosemary’s Baby!” I was already skeptic when I heard there was going to be a remake. No offense to Zoe Saldana, she’s a fine actress but I didn’t want my beloved film touched and after seeing the trailer for the upcoming mini series I feel exactly the same.
In the trailer for NBC‘s two-part mini series event “Rosemary’s Baby,” coming to NBC on Sunday, May 11, Saldana plays Rosemary Woodhouse, played by Mia Farrow in the 1968 film, the wife of Guy Woodhouse (Patrick J. Adams) who becomes pregnant only to suspect her devil worshiping neighbors Margaux and Roman Castevet (Carole Bouquet and Jason Isaacs) want her unborn baby.
Granted this version is more like the Ira Levin novel so I shouldn’t compare the two but I loved the original so much it makes me sad that it won’t measure up.
Excuse me while I go to Netflik’s and watch the amazing original film and shake my head at the thought of it being tarnished.
Watch Zoe Saldana in the first look at the NBC mini series “Rosemary’s Baby” below and tell me what you think.
