Followers of this blog know that I love me some James Franco so the slight trouble that he found himself in these days has me feeling some type of way.
Headlines of a private conversation that the “Of Mice and Men” Broadway actor had with a 17-year-old fan named Lucy has everyone talking.
Apparently, Lucy and Franco, 35, met while he was signing autographs after a performance of his Broadway show. She caught his eye and he asked her to tag him so he could find her on social media. She did, he found her and they sparked a conversation on Instagram that led to a text convo. [READ FULL CONVO HERE]
During the course of the conversation Lucy asked was it really him and asked several times for him to prove it, he shared a photo of himself solo, then a piece of paper with her name on it next to his face. Franco asked to meet up with the girl at whatever hotel she was at, offered to get a room, asked if she had a boyfriend then proceeded to tell her not to share this encounter with anyone.
Some are thinking this “leaked conversation” is a way to promote his film “Palo Alto,” where he plays a high school soccer coach who sparks a relationship with an underage girl on his team played by Emma Roberts. [WATCH BELOW]
In the wake of the controversy, Franco uploaded a photo to his Instagram, that has since been deleted, that read “Why are you thirty for underage ones” over a photo of himself. He captioned the photo with, “I’M NOT! I HOPE PARENTS KEEP THEIR TEENS AWAY FROM ME. Thank You.”
The most bizarre thing to me about all this is that James Franco is a very attractive man, you wouldn’t think he had to result to Instagram to hook up with anybody.
I would hate to think my boo James Franco is a creep, but you tell me what you think!
