Scandal actor Columbus Short is in hot water with police after a bar fight that left a man seriously injured.
According to TMZ, the 31-year-old actor, who plays gladiator Harrison Wright on Scandal, got into an altercation at Gabe’s Bar and Grill in L.A. on March 15 around 10:45 PM.
Short was out with friends celebrating a couple’s engagement when he started to argue with another patron at the bar. Allegedly the fight started when the other guy said something like, “You might be richer than me but I get my girls to buy me everything I want including your wife.” Probably referring to Short’s estranged wife Tanee McCall-Short.
Well that sent Columbus Short over the edge. An eyewitness told TMZ that Short “came up from behind and sucker punched the guy,” resulting in a broken nose for the man and being left “unconscious for several minutes.”
After that, Columbus left the bar and an ambulance came to help the injured man and take him to a hospital.
Police officials are now conducting a criminal battery investigation.
