Jimmy Fallon Kicks Off ‘The Tonight Show’ With HUGE Guest Stars [VIDEO]

The Tonight Show is back with a new host and in its old city!

Jimmy Fallon brought the iconic late night show back to New York City and pulled out all the stops for his premiere episode.

Fallon brought his announcer, Steve Higgins, and house band, The Roots, from Late Night along with him to the new studio for The Tonight Show. 

Will Smith and U2 served as the first guests and musical performer for the monumental episode but they weren’t the only big names in the building.

Before things got started in the show Jimmy Fallon took the time to show major appreciation for his new gig and to gloat to his “buddy” that didn’t think he would ever host The Tonight Show. This ‘buddy” included: Robert DeNiro, Tina Fey, Kim Kardashian, former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga, Tracy Morgan, Mariah Carey, Steven Colbert and many more; who owned him $100. It was epic.

I’m so excited Jimmy Fallon brought The Tonight Show back to NYC! His premiere week is already filled with HUGE names! I think he’s going to do amazing in his new late night slot! Good luck Jim bone!
