It’s basically mid January so that means that the world premiere of the Lifetime film “Flowers in the Attic” is almost here and I’ve got the extended trailer for all you out there.

FIRST LOOK: “FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC” STARRING KIERNAN SHIPKA, HEATHER GRAHAM, AND ELLEN BURSTYN

“Flowers in the Attic” is the story based on the cult classic V.C. Andrews novel about four children who get locked away in the attic of their estranged grandparents house as their mother tries to win back the love of her father, but there are haunting ulterior motives that the children must endure.

There was a 1987 film adaptation of the book but the Lifetime film promises to please fans more because it stays close to the actual content on the novel. Lifetime also announced that a sequel based on the second book of the series, “Petals in the Wind,” has been greenlit.

Kiernan Shipka stars as Cathy in the Lifetime film, along with Heather Graham as Mother, and Ellen Burstyn as Grandmother.

“Flowers in the Attic” premieres on Lifetime January 18 at 8/7c.
