Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen Return to ‘SNL’ For ‘Sound of Music’ Cold Open [VIDEO]

Saturday Night Live alums Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen returned to their comedic home and appeared in the cold open of this weekend’s episode.

Wiig returned as Denise and Armisen as Lawrence Welk in a “Sound of Music” spoof of the NBC Production that aired this past week on the network.

Current SNL cast members Kate Mckinnon and Taran Killam played Maria Rainer and Captain Von Trapp in the skit with other cast members playing the children; Wiig played one of the children as well.
