The Quest For Christian Grey Is Still On – Charlie Hunnam Quits Role in “Fifty Shades of Grey”

In September “Fifty Shades of Grey” fans were able to finally put faces to the soon to be infamous characters who will play Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.

“21 Jump Street” actress Dakota Johnson has signed on to play the outspoken brunette Ana Steele and Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam was slated to play the sex dominating millionaire Christian Grey but now news broke that Hunnam is out as the sex god.

In a statement Universal Pictures said, “The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.”

Maybe just maybe this means we still have time to convince Matt Bomer into reconsidering the role, heck I’ll even take Ian Somerhalder or Alex Pettyfer.
