Music Muse: James Blake

I can admit I may not be your go to girl for all things music; not that I don’t love music but my pop culture interests lie more in movies and television but I decided to give music some more TLC on my blog particularly up and coming or underrated artists.

The first inductee in Music Muse is London born electronic music producer and singer-songwriter James Blake.

The first time I heard James Blake’s “Retrograde” it was while I was watching a fan made “Robsten” video. Since I loved Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as a couple I immediately fell in love with how the song was used but once I listened to it, several times, by itself I became an instant fan!

I feel like James Blake voice is proof God exists. He’s such a talented artist and I haven’t heard that much about him on the music scene which is very unfortunate. Good thing is I heard his song “Retrograde” on the second episode of Showtime’s new series Masters of Sex and I got so excited to him. His voice is impeccable and he’s only 25. He’s definitely an artist to watch out for.
