Move over Christian Bale, there’s a new Batman coming to town.
“Argo” actor and director Ben Affleck has been announced to play Batman in the “Man of Steel” sequel along side Henry Cavill, who will reprise his role as Superman in the film.
In a statement from director Zack Snyder he said, “Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.”
The “Man of Steel” sequel will be the first time Batman and Superman will appear on the big screen together. The project is set to begin production next year and will be in theaters July 17, 2015; the project is still untitled.
I know we all feel some type of way about this so sound off in the comments below. Will Ben Affleck be a good Batman?
