RIP: ‘The Famous Jett Jackson’ AKA Lee Thompson Young Found Dead in Possible Suicide

Oh no! A part of my childhood just died, literally and figuratively.

The actor who played Jett Jackson in popular Disney channel show The Famous Jett Jackson; Lee Thompson Young was found died in a suspected suicide.

TMZ reports that the 29-year-old actor’s body was found at his home in Los Angeles with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Lee Thompson Young’s publicist confirmed the news to TMZ saying, “It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning … Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed.”

Young’s landlord discovered the body after he checked up on the actor when he failed to show up for work on the TNT series Rizzoli & Isles on Monday.

That’s so sad to think suicide was the only out Lee Thompson Young felt he had. May his soul rest in peace now.
