This week’s Trailer Thursday highlights the late Glee actor Cory Monteith in a role that he said he used his own struggles with drugs to relate to his character.
In the crime drama “McCanick,” Monteith plays a drug addict criminal who has a mysterious past with detective Eugene ‘Mack’ McCanick played by David Morse. McCancick is trying to get rid of Simon Weeks (Monteith) and is in a desperate search to find him.
Ciarán Hinds, Tracie Thoms, Mike Vogel and Rachel Nichols also star in the film.
The film is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Watch Cory Monteith in the trailer for “McCanick” below.
