Pretty Little Liars Lucy Hale and Glee Darren Criss hosted the 2013 Teen Choice Awards live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 11.

The night was filled with performances from Paramore, Demi Lovato, and One Direction, awards were given to the “Pitch Perfect” cast, Glee, Selena Gomez and more. Plus the show promoted the #itcanwait – don’t text and drive movement along with setting the world record for most people twerking at one time. And yes Directioners, Harry Styles participated in the booty shaking trend.

LEA MICHELE GIVES TEARFUL ACCEPTANCE SPEECH DURING THE 2013 TEEN CHOICE AWARDS

For me, the highlights of the show came when Lea Michele gave her acceptance speech and remembered her late boyfriend Cory Monteith. I also liked Christopher Kutcher aka Ashton Kutcher’s acceptance speech and his three keys to success: hard work, be sexy; meaning be really smart, thoughtful and generous, and to build a life. Don’t live one, build one. Very inspiring.
