‘Ebony’s’ September Issue Celebrates Trayvon Martin – “We Are Trayvon”

Gone but never forgotten! Slain African-American teen Trayvon Martin gets four Ebony magazine covers in his honor for the September issue.

Dwyane Wade, Boris Kodjoe, Spike Lee, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin with their sons grace four separate covers with the title “We Are Trayvon;” three covers have the celebrity men dressed in gray hoodies.

In the issue, Tracy Martin, Trayvon’s fathers, has an candid conversation about how the tragedy with his son should raise awareness for the black community to protect their sons growing up in a still often racist society.

The latest issue of Ebony goes on newsstands today, August 6.
