Another one bites the dust! Next season of SNL is going to be considerably lighter on the funnyman front. First Bill Hader, then Fred Armisen, and now Jason Sudeikis who just has announced that he will not be returning to Saturday Night Live in the fall. Aaaaand, cue my tears!
Sudeikis confirmed his departure to David Letterman on Wednesday July 24. He says, “A person can go on for as long as they want … but for me, I’m definitely done. I’m gonna be leaving. I’m not coming back in the fall.” He followed by saying how amazing the experience has been and he’s been “lucky” to not only write for the series, but be a regular cast member as well.
I’m sure there are bigger and better things in Jason’s future, though. He’s got comedy flick “We’re the Millers” premiering in August and has been engaged to girlfriend of 2 years, Olivia Wilde, since January. Plus with all the extra “workout” time the pair have been getting up to lately, it doesn’t seem like he’ll have a problem keeping busy!
