Trayvon Martin may be gone but not forgotten. Although there was no justice for his death, the country is uniting to make sure awareness of the injustice is being known.

Peaceful rallies and protests have been happening all over the country following the acquittal of George Zimmerman over the charges of fatally shooting 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Today in New York, July 20, Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Al Sharpton were in attendance to show support at the “Justice For Trayvon” rally. All three took the time to greet and grieve with Trayvon’s mom Sybrina Fulton during the gathering.

It’s amazing to see a nation come together at this difficult time.

Trayvon Martin is the 17-year-old African-American boy who was fatally shot by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman in early 2012. Zimmerman was tried a year later and acquitted of second-degree murder and of manslaughter charges.
