The race to earn the title of “Hip-Hop’s First Billionaire” is becoming more exciting. Sean “Diddy” Combs newest business venture Revolt TV has inked a national distribution deal with Time Warner Cable.

Early February 2012, Revolt TV announced a partnership with Comcast to bring a new wave of television. Revolt TV President, Andy Schuon, says Revolt will be “the most exciting thing I’ve done in my business career.”

If you do not know what Revolt TV is, allow the man behind the movement to explain. In a statement, the Hip-Hop mogul said, “We will not be doing a bunch of reality shows. We’ll be doing music-driven shows that will be exposing you to the discovery of new talent. We’ll also be doing in-depth interviews and shows that will go into social issues with different panels and debaters of the culture. We’ll be doing our version of a Barbara Walters/Oprah interview, but with someone from this generation, and of this generation. We’ll be going to where the pulse of music is happening, and we’ll be covering it in the way ESPN will cover a sports story, with that level of urgency and seriousness.” Sounds good right?

Revolt TV plans to launch in October 2013.
