We all know Pharrell Williams knows how to produce a great hit. The superstar producer has paired up with Miley Cyrus for her next album and things are about to get interesting.

Pharrell and Miley have been working together in the studio for over a year now on the “Party in the U.S.A” singer’s next LP. Pharrell spoke with MTV News about building a friendship with Miley and the joys of working with her.

“I love Miley — she’s really honestly at the core a good person and it’s always cool to work with Southern people.”

Miley Cyrus’s album is slated to feature collaborations with Wiz Khalifa and possibly French Montana but Pharrell doesn’t want Miley fans to get the wrong impression with the direction of her album.

It’s just gonna sound like her and her influences, but it’s not that hip-hop heavy. That’s not what she does, that’s not where she comes from. It’s a part of what she loves, which is a very big difference,” Pharrell said. Duly noted!
